To make America terrible, If Donald Trump was to be elected president it would be the down fall of America, Donald Trump can no longer be taken as a joke. He has outrageous proposals that offer worse solution than a snake oil sales man. Trump is extremely racist towards immigrants, Muslims and threatens the economy. He has placed a ban of all Muslims coming into the country, he wants to build a wall at the border of Mexico, he plans deport all illegal immigrants and supporters are voting for him because of his supposed successful business. Some people feel that he will "make America great again" but many believe that his plans will ruin America.
Firstly Trump has made many racist
remarks over his campaign and most of his comments have been aimed at the
Mexican community "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the
best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of
problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs.
They’re bring crime. They’re rapists… And some, I assume, are good people"
he assumes them to be rapist, murderers, drug dealers and during his rally’s
and interviews and he states it on his own website that he promises to make
Mexico pay and build a wall at its border, "Mexico's going to pay for the
wall." He promises mass deportation of over 11 million immigrants and he
calls for a ban of all Muslims coming into the country to reduce terrorist
attacks “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”. During
a campaign rally on September 18th, 2015 in Rochester, New Hampshire he stated
himself “We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims.” These plans
of his are more likely to make the country bankrupt then “make America great
again”.
Secondly the deportation of the 11
million immigrants as stated above, will cost the federal government between
400 billion and 600 billion dollars. It would shrink the labour force down
eleven million workers, reduce the real GPD by 1.6 trillion dollars and it
would take 20 years to complete, this alone would destroy the economy. Again on
his website he states "I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls
better than me, believe me, and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will
build a great, great wall on our southern border,” the wall which Trump intends
to build would cost an estimated 2.8 million dollars per mile or 5.6 billion
dollars in total. This is excluding the cost of maintaining the wall which
would be an average of 750 million dollars a year. Although Trump stated that he
would “make” Mexico pay for this wall but they won’t have the time nor the
money to build a wall. So if Donald trump were to be elected there would be a very
high chance that he would ruin the economy, making the whole country bankrupt, if
he wanted to solve the debt for the country he might not want to waste his
money building a wall.
Thirdly Trump supporters have come to
praise the man and believe that he will make America great again. On a website
(The Atlantic, Conor Friedersdorf, 17 Aug 2015) they had interviewed trump
supporters and this is what they had to say. “He leads an enormous, diversified
organization that is worth billions. This requires leadership. Leadership, by
the way, is different from knowledge. When you lead a large organization you
set vision, goals and expect results. You do not know every detail of every
level of your organization. You can’t. The world is just too complicated. You
delegate and empower. You can get information when you need it and the
president has no shortage of people ready to educate him on issues.” The
supporters believe that he would make a great president because of his business
ventures, how he runs a multi-billion dollar company, and the huge successes
that follow in his wake. “What do you think of? War? Poverty?
Political division? Do we see greatness in America still on a daily basis or
even in the movies? The Trump Family is the picture of the American Dream …
When Donald Trump says that he wants to make America great again, I believe him.”
Supporters see him as this picture perfect man who’s successful, but that’s
only half the truth. If Trump was to be elected it would confirm every
stereotype that Americans routinely deny, that they worship wealth and detest
minority groups.
Finally Many people are voting for him
because his ‘successes’. The website ‘Time’ explains Donald Trump’s failures
such as Trump airlines which lasted about 3 years before being shut down due to
it being unpopular and ridiculously expensive. Trump steaks, Trump claiming
them to be the best steaks in the world. The steaks were priced between 199
dollars and 299 dollars and over 50% of people that had the stake gave reviews
that were highly negative. Trump Vodka, introduced in 2006 the company “failed
to meet the threshold requirements” and was forced to discontinue the drink two
weeks after it being placed on shelfs. Bankruptcies, 2010 Trump Entertainment
Resorts Inc. had succumbed to bankruptcy for the third time. Trump had denied
the fact he was bankrupt and his real-estate bailed him out 65 million dollars and
nine months later he fell into a debt of 4 billion dollars. He didn't declare
personal bankruptcy, although his famous Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City. Trump has failed more than he has succeeded, if Donald Trump was
to be in charge of America and made one mistake it could cost the country
greatly.
In conclusion Donald Trump will single handily ruin America if he
is to be elected president, the country is already in debt and trump will make
it much worse. His proposals are outrageous and he is the stereotypical
American that worships wealth and detests minority groups. Donald Trump will
not make “America great again” but instead make America terrible.
